The Amirkabir University of Technology has reached the top spot among the prominent technological universities in the country, based on the recent Leiden rankings.Based on this ranking, amongst the Islamic countries Iran has the top spot with 34 universities, Turkey has the second spot with 33 universities, and Egypt has the third spot with 10 universities. A specification of Leiden ranking is that this ranking does not specify a total rank for the university based on its indicators; however, it calculates and publishes separate scores and ranks for the universities for each indicator.
