The researchers of the department of Industrial Engineering at AUT had extraordinary success using non-edible seeds to design a renewable fuel supply chain network. “When we use modeling that is based on the smart algorithms to evaluate necessities of the real world and create a bargaining process among elements that exist in the supply chain,” said Saeed Hossein Gitinavard, an AUT Ph.D. student, “an effective role in pricing biological seed is created. This way we can minimize the costs of sustainable design of the energy network that is produced by biomass.” Such studies can improve all the efforts put into building infrastructures by the Organization of Renewable Energy and Electricity Energy Efficiency (SATBA).
