Researchers of Amirkabir University designed a new method for catalyst production that is a competitor for the present market catalysts. Amir Hossein Shahbazi, a graduate of Amirkabir University said: the goal of this project has been catalyst production with a new composition (Oxide catalysts containing Lanthanum, Nickel, and Magnesium) by a new method (Spray Pyrolysis).
Some features of this method are: production continuity and homogeneity of the chemical mixture of the product, high specific surface area of product, resistance against carbon sedimentation that is a side effect of the methane reforming process which usually forms on the surface of the catalysts.
Dr. Sadegh Firoozi, a faculty member of Amirkabir University is the supervisor of this project.
