The head of Amirkabir University of Technology announced the design and launch of a targeted and innovative skill enhancement system to identify market-relevant skills.
The head of Amirkabir University of Technology announced the design and launch of a targeted and innovative skill enhancement system to identify market-relevant skills. He stated: "With the design of this system, not only will the required market skills be regularly updated for students to enter the job market, but it will also prevent the migration of elites."
According to the Public Relations Office of Amirkabir University of Technology, Dr. Alireza Rahaei, at the unveiling ceremony of the Skillinno skill enhancement system, emphasized the importance of the theme of "production" in the naming of the slogan of the year by the Supreme Leader's office for several consecutive years. This year, the theme of "production leap with people's participation" was introduced. He said: "This naming is very important from one aspect for scientific centers and universities in the country so that we can explore solutions to achieve it. In fact, if production is to be considered an effective and competitive initiative at the national and international levels, we must focus on the development of knowledge-based production. In this way, we have effectively contributed to the public welfare and played a role in the domestic and international economic space."
He stated: "It seems that for public participation in production, suitable and secure platforms must exist in various forums so that community groups can enter the investment space and contribute to production. We also believe at Amirkabir University of Technology that we should propose appropriate programs and initiatives in this regard."
The acting head of Amirkabir University of Technology pointed out: One of the discussions raised in the knowledge-based discourse is that suitable human resources with high information and knowledge should be trained, and students and graduates should play a serious role in this regard. The academic departments of our university, consisting of 18 specialized faculties, provide quality education. However, the academic knowledge that students acquire may not be sufficient for entering the job market, and it may be necessary to provide them with training in various aspects such as market, financial, economic, managerial, entrepreneurial issues, etc., to better prepare them for entering the job market.
Rahaei added: Another initiative organized by the Research and Technology Deputy of Amirkabir University of Technology, along with the Office of Industry Relations, involved the design and launch of a targeted and innovative skill enhancement system, utilizing the collaboration of university students and graduates. This system serves as a guide for students to regularly and up-to-date acquire the necessary skills for the job market and use them for employment opportunities.
The acting head of Amirkabir University of Technology concluded: With the implementation of the above system, on one hand, students and graduates will be equipped with a series of necessary techniques for executive activities and entrepreneurship, and on the other hand, it will somehow prevent the migration of graduates. I hope this system will be regularly updated and developed.

A member of the board of directors of the Small Industries and Industrial Towns Organization of Iran at Amirkabir University emphasized the need to develop two empowerment packages for businesses to advance and empower people to participate in production.
Seyed Alireza Shojai, a member of the board of directors of the Small Industries and Industrial Towns Organization of Iran and the Vice President of the Entrepreneurship Association of Innovative Businesses in Iran, stated that educational programs should be developed in line with the organizational life cycle. He emphasized that Amirkabir University of Technology, with its long history and good experience, can design and develop two essential empowerment packages for businesses to advance and empower people to participate in production, in collaboration with the educational, industrial, and mining sectors of the country.
According to the Public Relations Office of Amirkabir University of Technology, Shojai emphasized during the unveiling ceremony of the Skill Enhancement System (Skillinno) that the approach towards industries in our country is like a hospital approach. In this perspective, more attention is paid to troubled businesses and their revival, similar to how one goes to a person who has fallen ill and starts treating them at the hospital. With this approach, the number of hospital beds and hospitals increases, as we saw during the COVID-19 pandemic, but despite increasing beds and hospitals, the death toll still rose.

He continued: The issue was resolved when we moved towards vaccination. The important point was that the vaccine should be administered to healthy individuals.

A member of the board of directors of the Iranian Industrial Engineering Association stressed the need to shift from a hospital approach to an immunization approach towards industries. He stated that despite having more than 70,000 large, medium, and small industrial and mining businesses in the country, we always focus on reviving troubled businesses, while we should strive to prevent well-functioning businesses from facing difficulties so that they do not end up in the hospital, ultimately forcing us to revive them. Based on this, we need to change the hospital approach towards industries to an immunization approach and implement empowerment measures in the industry to ensure that new technologies and disruptions do not render them obsolete in the next 5 years.
Shojai also referred to the effective role of industrial universities in empowering industries and said: These universities can help shape the change in approach that I mentioned in the economic and industrial enterprises of the country. In fact, we can take the process of education throughout the organizational life cycle, determining what kind of education and capabilities a newly established organization needs, what should happen as it grows, and ultimately, what actions should be taken when this enterprise evolves into a holding company. Unfortunately, we lack these educational programs, so we need to develop a strong educational plan for the organizational life cycle.

He continued: New tools and platforms can promote such issues, meaning instead of engaging with 20 people, we can initiate a flow that familiarizes thousands of individuals with a specific topic, technique, or soft skill. These tools in the modern age can create a public mobilization for promoting a subject.
The former Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade emphasized: Amirkabir University of Technology, in interaction with the educational, industrial, and mining sectors of the country, can propose two packages in the year designated as the production leap with people's participation. The first package is for empowering businesses for a production leap, including some important and key soft managerial skills, and the second package is for empowering people for participation, with the goal of preparing people with the necessary readiness and capabilities for this participation.
