A delegation from Russia visited Amirkabir University of Technology with the aim of expanding scientific and industrial cooperation.
The delegation, consisting of officials from Russia, visited the university to explore its scientific capabilities and held a meeting with university officials.
According to the public relations office of Amirkabir University of Technology, the delegation met with the head and members of the Research Center for New Technologies and the Director General of the Textile Office of the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade to discuss potential areas of collaboration.
During the meeting, Dr. Rouhollah Baqerzadeh introduced the capabilities of the university and proposed three mutual collaborative programs, which were agreed upon by the Russian side. These programs include holding joint courses in business management, specialized consultancy, and guidance courses for students with new ideas or startups, and university-level courses at the master's level with dual degrees from Amirkabir University of Technology and Moscow Polytechnic University.
Dr. Baqerzadeh also mentioned other agreed-upon programs in the industrial sector, particularly in the standardization of goods exchanged between the two countries and in areas related to the polymer, petrochemical, textile, oil, and medical equipment industries.
Furthermore, considering the capacity and attractiveness of the Kish International Campus for hosting joint courses with foreign universities, it was decided to define the specified educational courses with a focus on the presence of students and professors at this campus.
Based on the agreements reached, it was decided that an initial agreement for the implementation of the business guidance and consultancy courses would be planned within a week. A joint meeting was held between the Deputy International Affairs Council of the university with the Head of the Office of the Supreme Leader's Representative and the Basij official of the university.
The Deputy International Affairs Council of the university holds weekly meetings at the office of the Deputy International Affairs with the presence of deputy directors (International Student Management and Kish Campus) and heads of university units (Bandar Abbas, Kish, Garmasar, and Mahshahr). In this meeting, the hosts were the Head of the Office of the Supreme Leader's Representative and the Basij official of Amirkabir University of Technology.
During this session, discussions and suggestions were made regarding increasing productivity and expanding educational and research activities internationally at the Tehran campus and university units in other provinces. Additionally, the establishment of an international strategic command center for internationalization of the environment and the university's scientific activities to increase the attraction of international students and create suitable educational, research, and innovative environments in line with local and regional conditions and priorities of the university were discussed.
Furthermore, discussions were held on international collaboration and exchange of ideas to expand international activities. In this meeting, Dr. Rouhollah Baqerzadeh, Hojatoleslam Rajabi, Dr. Majid Koohiil, Dr. Ali Asghar Sabagh Alvani, Dr. Mohammad Reza Mojtahedi, Dr. Meysam Eimani, Dr. Ehsan Khamehchi, and Dr. Mohammad Amin Faiz were present.
