AmirKabir University Ranks Second in Leiden Ranking Among Engineering Universities in Iran

AmirKabir University has claimed the second spot in the Leiden Ranking among engineering universities in Iran. According to the university's public relations, referencing the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), the Leiden Ranking has released its results for the top universities worldwide for the year 2024. In this year's ranking, 46 Iranian universities made it into the list of the top 1,506 universities globally.
Based on the 2024 Leiden Ranking, Iran holds the first position among Islamic countries with its 46 universities.
Leiden is one of the reputable university evaluation systems that annually assesses and ranks the world's top universities using a complex set of credible scient metric indicators. Universities are evaluated under two categories of size-dependent and size-independent indicators across four main criteria: scientific reputation, scientific diplomacy, open access to publications, and gender diversity.
The Leiden Ranking utilizes scientific output from universities indexed in the Web of Science (WoS). The publication period considered for universities extends from 2019 to 2022, with citations counted to the end of 2023.
