AmirKabir University of Technology: Aircraft Manufacturing Hub and Satellite Technology Development/ Outlining Cooperation with Belarusian University

The director of international scientific collaborations at AmirKabir University identified aircraft design for 100 to 150 passengers and satellite technology development as the university's mega projects. He noted that defining joint projects based on mutual needs and organizing shared courses could pave the way for collaboration between AmirKabir University and the National University of Belarus. According to the public relations office of AmirKabir University, Dr. Rouhollah Bagherzadeh mentioned in a meeting to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Belarusian university that Iran holds a significant geopolitical position. He stated that Iran is at the center of connections between East and West, and North and South, especially in strategic programs involving various countries like the European Union, Russia, and China. He added that Iran offers a different image from what media often portray, highlighting its substantial appeal for science and technology development among regional countries. In this light, Iran's scientific capacity can be defined as a hub for science and technology development in the region. The director of international scientific collaborations emphasized that one aspect of cooperation in the student domain with this university is the presence of enthusiastic and talented graduates and young scientists. Bagherzadeh mentined that when it comes to national security, Iran holds the top rank in terms of safety among all regional countries. He also pointed out the collaborations among faculty members, mentioning that AmirKabir University leads the country in publishing quality research papers and ranks highly globally in emerging technologies, including nanotechnology, biotechnology, aerospace, artificial intelligence, computer science, mathematics, and more. Furthermore, the director highlighted the growth of entrepreneurship in the country, noting that a unique position has been established in this area, with AmirKabir University playing a significant role in fostering entrepreneurship development. Bagherzadeh reported that the university has around 14,000 students across bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs and noted that it boasts over 450 faculty members, ten of whom have served in governmental executive roles at the ministerial level. These benefits have made the university a platform for carrying out significant educational and research projects necessary for the country.
