The Head of Welfare for Faculty and Non-Faculty Members at Amirkabir University of Technology highlighted the provision of welfare services to the university's staff, stating that the provision of interest-free loans to employees and housing purchase and deposit loans for faculty members are among the welfare services granted to the Amirkabir academic community since last year.
According to the Public Relations Office of Amirkabir University of Technology, Engineer Mohammad Mahdi Talebi elaborated on the university's extracurricular programs for the current year, mentioning the establishment of a specialized working group to sign contracts for supplementary insurance, the launch of a university daycare, and an agreement with the MiniPay platform for credit purchases as part of their welfare initiatives.
He also referred to the Iran Island agreement for discounted glasses deducted from supplementary insurance as another service offered by the department. Additionally, he noted that this year they successfully signed an agreement for a goods card with Mehr Qarz al-Hassaneh Bank and a discount card agreement (Mehryar) with the same bank, thus creating opportunities for employees to purchase goods and receive loans.
Talebi mentioned obtaining discount privileges for purchasing carpets from Shahkar Mashhad Company and signing an agreement with Basir Ophthalmology Clinic for staff as additional initiatives from the university's welfare department. He reminded everyone that this year they initiated welfare projects such as discounts on clothing from Vaziri, signing agreements with Shahr Farsh Company, discounts for suits from Moghaddam, registering medical expenses for supplementary insurance through an app in a non-face-to-face manner, electronic registration of loans on the welfare department's website, and launching a survey feature on the welfare department's site.
The Head of Welfare for Faculty and Non-Faculty Members at Amirkabir University of Technology mentioned the registration and collection of information for the children of faculty and non-faculty members, along with providing supply packages for the new academic year as part of their welfare programs. He stated that to fill the summer free time for employees' children, they organized summer classes, pilgrimages to Qom and Jamkaran, nature tours, partnerships with Isfahan University for the use of their hotel, and agreements with the recreational and residential complex of Farahabad (Sari) of Tehran University.
Talebi referred to the illness of some university staff, emphasizing that one of the ethical responsibilities of the welfare department is to provide material and moral support to colleagues going through difficult times due to illness.
He highlighted that there were 1,600 instances of accommodation and reception for colleagues in the Dinachal (Gilan) guesthouse and the pilgrim's house in Mashhad in 2023, adding that all registration and request processes for welfare complexes were conducted online and based on a lottery system.
Talebi also noted offering banking facilities to university employees as another welfare service, reminding that in this regard, 22 billion tomans in facilities were provided as deferred payment and interest-free loans by Agricultural Bank and Mehr Iran Bank to colleagues.
