The chancellor of Amirkabir Industrial University emphasized the necessity of creating innovation for organizing national and international scientific competitions by scientific associations, stating that today, scientific competitions around the world undergo transformations that scientific associations, as leading student groups, must design new formats for so that we can develop and host new competitions at both national and international levels.
According to the public relations of Amirkabir Industrial University, Dr. Alireza Rahai, during a ceremony honoring the university's scientific associations, affirmed that these associations carry out the most valuable activities at the university. He mentioned that various scientific competitions, publishing journals, and organizing scientific visits conducted by scientific associations represent a selection of the best scientific work that these students undertake alongside their studies. He noted that such actions would undoubtedly increase creativity and innovation among students, and the continuation of these activities would not only create a joyful atmosphere but also enhance the morale and innovation spirit in many other endeavors of the students.
He further clarified that the activity of scientific associations at the university has a history of about 25 years, dating back to 1380. Various programs have been organized, and currently, a cycle of different activities has been experienced, with 18 active associations having undergone various experiences.
Dr. Rahai highlighted that one of the initiatives conducted by the scientific associations of Amirkabir Industrial University was the organization of robotics competitions, which engaged the entire university community. This created a remarkable atmosphere of excitement throughout the campus. Therefore, it is essential to see some changes in the scientific associations from this perspective.
The chancellor of Amirkabir Industrial University pointed out that the emergence of certain scientific developments and discussions in the field of emerging technologies necessitates that all of us, including scientific associations, contemplate what actions should be taken. If competitions are to be organized, it is important to consider the relevant considerations and viewpoints for their design.
He continued: "It is expected that our scientific associations think about what types of competitions they can design using new views, perspectives, and technologies so that the talents of our students can be unleashed, allowing them to make better use of new scientific tools."
Dr.Rahai emphasized that some programs, such as organizing scientific visits conducted by scientific associations, are among the best initiatives that can help familiarize our students with industrial horizons. Therefore, these visits should be pursued.
He considered inviting industry managers and scientific personalities as another effective activity of the scientific associations and stated that these invitations are very appealing for students to get acquainted with innovations and leaders in this field; these activities should continue.
Dr.Rahai pointed out that new horizons have emerged at the global level regarding organizing scientific competitions by scientific associations. These competitions undergo transformations, and scientific associations, as leading student groups, need to think about this and come up with new designs so that we can develop and host new competitions at both national and international levels.
This professor from Amirkabir Industrial University continued by saying that it is expected that the activities of scientific associations do not decline but rather expand with the introduction of some transformations. Associations should enhance their activities and initiatives with new ideas in each period. We hope that the right environment is created, along with good encouragement for the development of these activities, and that student interest in these associations grows day by day.
