A memorandum of understanding for the establishment, launch, and management of an innovation, research, and technology ecosystem center for oil refining has been signed between Sepahan Oil Company and Amirkabir University of Technology.
According to the public relations office of Amirkabir University of Technology, in line with the implementation of the memorandum on "Developing a Knowledge-Based Economy in the Refining Industries," which was signed on the sidelines of the 28th International Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Exhibition in Tehran between Sepahan Oil Company and the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology and the Knowledge-Based Economy of the Presidency, the memorandum for the establishment, launch, and management of the innovation, research, and technology ecosystem center for oil refining was signed on Sunday, February 14, in the presence of Farhad Amin Dehqan, CEO of Sepahan Oil Company, and Dr. Mohammad Sharifi, the industry relations manager at Amirkabir University of Technology.
This memorandum was finalized and signed after continuous expert reviews by the Research and Development Department of Sepahan Oil Company to make use of the scientific, financial, human resources, and infrastructural capabilities of both parties in support of the research and technologies needed for the oil refining chain, and to establish an ecosystem for startups and innovation-based businesses in various areas related to the oil refining industry to address the challenges and innovative technological needs of this industry.
The creation of necessary infrastructure and facilities for conducting joint scientific, research, and industrial activities related to the applications of technologies in the oil refining chain, the establishment of new markets for the entry of effective industries in the oil refining chain in new areas, and the development and enhancement of human capital in technologies related to related industries are among the objectives mentioned in this memorandum.
