Industrial Engineering & Management Systems

The Department of Industrial Engineering & Management Systems was established in 1976 offering undergraduate courses. With the expansion of its activities, the department began to accept students for the M .Sc. and Ph.D. levels in 1988 and 1993, respectively. Currently, the department employs 26 academic staff members and is presently educating 500 students in various fields of studies. The department offers planning and systems analysis and industrial production at the B.Sc. level, industrial engineering, economic and social systems engineering and systems management and productivity at the M.Sc. level, and industrial engineering at the Ph.D. level. The graduates are able to do feasibility studies of industrial projects and to design, and improve production planning and quality control systems which consist of machines, equipment and human resources.
