Amirkabir University of Technology

A professor from Amirkabir University of Technology has been recognized as the country's leading scientific scholar by publishing a paper in a premier "Group A" journal, categorized among the world's most prestigious publications.


According to the Public Relations Department of Amirkabir University of Technology, at the ceremony honoring the country's leading scientific and laboratory scholars—attended by Dr. Hossein Afshin, the Vice President for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy—77 distinguished professors were honored.

This ceremony has been held annually since 2015, and Dr. Sajjad Jafari, an assistant professor in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Amirkabir University of Technology, was among the honorees for the fourth time.

Top scientific journals are classified into categories "A" through "C." In 2024, only 19 scholars nationwide succeeded in publishing their work in "Group A" journals. Dr. Jafari is one of these scholars, having published a paper in the prestigious journal Nature Communications.
