Fifty-one outstanding researchers from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) were recognised during an event marking Iran's National Research Day, held alongside an exhibition showcasing the achievements of the university's Science and Technology Park and its researchers.
According to the university's public relations office, the event was attended by Dr Seyed Mahdi Abtahi, acting deputy minister for research at the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology; Abbas Soroush, chancellor of Amirkabir University of Technology; and a gathering of senior officials, faculty members, students and researchers.
On the sidelines of the event, more than 20 innovative technological products developed by knowledge-based companies, technology teams based in the university's Science and Technology Park, and AUT researchers were put on display.
In the closing segment of the ceremony, 51 distinguished researchers from across the university were honored in various categories, including book authorship, scientific articles, outstanding undergraduate, master's and doctoral theses, research institutes, laboratories, laboratory experts, inventors, distinguished journal editors, highly cited scientists (top 2%), research contracts, and leading researchers.
