The President of Amirkabir University of Technology stressed the necessity of allocating special grants for fundamental research and stated: "We must establish a mechanism to provide dedicated grants for faculty members engaged in deep, fundamental research work."

According to the Public Relations Office of Amirkabir University of Technology, Dr. Abbas Soroush, during the appreciation and introduction ceremony for the outgoing and incoming dean of the Faculty of Physics and Energy Engineering, highlighted the importance of maintaining team cohesion at the university. He remarked: "As a colleague with considerable experience in scientific, research, and managerial fields, I advise managers not to overlook this precious asset of unity."

The President of Amirkabir University of Technology, while emphasizing the need to maintain balance between engineering disciplines and basic sciences in the Faculty of Physics—particularly with inclinations toward fields such as energy engineering and nuclear engineering—stated: "This shift toward engineering disciplines should not lead us to drift away from the core of physics."

Referring to Amirkabir University of Technology's prominent position among selected universities in fundamental research, he expressed the expectation that basic sciences faculties, such as physics, chemistry, and mathematics, should shine even brighter.

The President stated: "We need to create a system that allocates special grants to colleagues who are conducting profound fundamental research."

He added: "We must recognize that the world's leading universities, even technical ones, actively pursue both science and engineering."

This professor at Amirkabir University of Technology noted: "The best place for young faculty members to gain further familiarity is within their own faculties. More experienced colleagues should offer guidance to the younger ones, and the young faculty should approach this with humility, acknowledging their need for direction to benefit from shared research experiences."

Addressing the new and former colleagues and managers at Amirkabir University of Technology, Soroush emphasized the importance of valuing the experiences of seasoned administrators and said: "We must appreciate these experiences."

He stressed the need to evaluate progress toward the university's defined objectives, stating: "At the end of a term of responsibility, what is typically assessed is the extent to which the responsible individual has advanced toward the set goals and exerted effort to achieve them."

The President of Amirkabir University of Technology, referring to the scientific principles and order inherent in creation, noted: "This order can be extended to the organizational structure of the university, as the proper implementation of justice and equity is essential in sustaining a living institution."
