Amirkabir University of Technology

A faculty member from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) has been appointed as the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Branch within the Engineering Sciences Group of the Academy of Sciences of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to the AUT Public Relations Office, Dr. Majid Saffar-Avval was elected to the position during the 587th session of the Academy’s Scientific Council. The two-year appointment was formally issued by Dr. Mohammad-Reza Mokhber Dezfouli, President of the Academy of Sciences.
The Mechanical Engineering Branch of the Academy of Sciences consists of 18 fellow and associate members, comprising veteran professors and experts in the field who are tasked with contributing to high-level strategic policy-making for the discipline.
