Dr. Somayeh Akbari, Vice President for International Affairs at Amirkabir University of Technology, announced that the University has taken several measures to ensure continued communication with its international students during periods of internet disruption. She noted that, through the creation of communication channels on domestic platforms and active follow‑up on students’ concerns, efforts have been made to prevent any interruption in their academic and communication processes.

According to the University’s Public Relations Office, at a recent meeting of the University Council, Dr. Akbari highlighted the steps taken by the Office of International Affairs to maintain contact with international students despite internet outages. She explained that the Office had worked intensively to establish communication channels via domestic messaging platforms such as "Bale" and "Rubika", enabling both the Office and individual faculties to remain connected with international students under challenging circumstances.

Emphasizing the importance of sustained engagement with international students, Dr. Akbari added that faculties lacking active communication channels have been asked to inform the Office so that necessary connections can be arranged using available resources. She noted that continuous cooperation with international students is essential, as at one point even access to offline classes had been temporarily disrupted.

Dr. Akbari confirmed that these issues have since been resolved, and international students are now able to participate in virtual classes without difficulty.

The Vice President stressed that the concerns and challenges faced by international students must be addressed with the same attention and efficiency as those of domestic full‑time students, ensuring that their academic progress remains uninterrupted.
