According to the results of the 23rd edition of the QS World University Rankings for 2027, Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) has achieved a global ranking of 483. With this result, AUT ranks among the top 11 Iranian universities represented in the index, further solidifying its standing as the nation’s second-leading technical and engineering university.
The QS World University Rankings methodology evaluates institutional performance by analyzing scientific outputs indexed in the Scopus database over a five-year period, alongside scientific citation data spanning six years. On the global stage, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has retained the top position for the 15th consecutive year, while Imperial College London and Stanford University jointly occupy the second spot.
