The International Language Center at Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) has been recognized as one of the country’s leading and most successful institutions for teaching Persian to international students, following an evaluation by the Student Affairs Organization of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
Dr. Ahmad Pourghasem, Director of the AUT International Language Center, highlighted the center’s recent strategic direction. “One of our core focus areas has been educational technology, the development of modern learning tools, and the transition toward smart language learning processes, particularly through the integration of ParsiGo, the national smart platform for Persian language education,” Dr. Pourghasem stated. “We believe that leading in Persian language education extends beyond hosting traditional classes; it requires designing a smart, structured, and measurable educational ecosystem.”
He added that despite challenges facing Persian language instruction for international students, including academic disruptions and administrative suspensions, the AUT International Language Center has prioritized maintaining and enhancing educational quality. “This quality assurance spans several aspects, most notably specialized pedagogy for non-Persian speakers, continuous monitoring of the learning process, addressing the practical needs of international students, and leveraging technology in education,” Dr. Pourghasem explained.
The Director of the International Language Center also emphasized the importance of capacity building. “Upgrading the skills and professional knowledge of our academic and administrative staff remains a top priority. We believe that sustainable educational quality is impossible without the academic and professional growth of our colleagues. Consequently, we have focused on strengthening the expertise of our human resources alongside our infrastructural development.”
