
A Week of Academic Exchange for Faculty Members from Iraqi Universities at Amirkabir University of Technology
As part of its efforts to expand international academic engagement, Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) hosted delegations of faculty members from the University of Mosul and Nawroz University of Iraq from 14 to 20 August 2026, under the "Faculty Visit and Knowledge Enhancement Programme."According to the Public Relations Office of Amirkabir University of Technology, the week-long programme was organised with the aim of strengthening scientific and academic cooperation, exchanging ideas and research experience, and familiarising faculty members from the Iraqi universities with the scientific and research capabilities of Amirkabir University of Technology in the fields of electrical engineering and biomedical engineering.During the programme, the visiting faculty members took part in a series of academic and educational activities and were introduced to a range of the University's capabilities across various fields.The scheduled activities included specialised meetings with faculty members of Amirkabir University of Technology, academic seminars, visits to the advanced laboratories of various faculties, a tour of the University's Science and Technology Park, and a visit to an industrial facility.On the sidelines of the programme, Dr Marwan Al-Yoonus, a participating faculty member from the University of Mosul, delivered a specialised lecture entitled "Hardware/Software Co-Design and Real-Time Systems" at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Amirkabir University of Technology.The lecture was attended by a number of the University's faculty members and researchers and was well received by those present. At the conclusion of the programme, certificates of participation were awarded to all visiting faculty members.The "Faculty Visit and Knowledge Enhancement Programme" held at Amirkabir University of Technology is regarded as part of the University's broader efforts to develop academic and scientific cooperation with higher education institutions in Iraq and to strengthen its international relations. The programme is expected to lay the groundwork for expanded research and educational collaboration, as well as further exchange of experience, between Amirkabir University of Technology and universities across the region.
