Message from the Chancellor of Amirkabir University of Technology on the Beginning of the New Academic Year

A New Academic Year: A New Chapter for Thought, Hope and Engagement
Dear Students, Esteemed Faculty Members and Valued Staff,
The beginning of a new academic year is always accompanied by renewed energy, hope and motivation—a season when, once again, the dynamic pursuit of knowledge comes to life through the presence of students, the efforts of faculty members and the dedication of staff.
A university is more than an educational and research institution; it is an influential institution in the advancement of society and one of the most important sources of intellectual capital for any country. It is a place where important questions emerge, new ideas are cultivated, and individuals are educated to play a meaningful role in addressing challenges and shaping the future.
Today, our country is facing circumstances that call, more than ever, for capable human resources, up-to-date knowledge, problem-oriented research, and solidarity and participation across all sectors of society. In such circumstances, the role of universities and academics in contributing to the country’s progress, providing scientific solutions, developing technology, enhancing productivity, and responding to the needs of society assumes even greater importance. Undoubtedly, by drawing on their knowledge, sense of responsibility and creative spirit, university communities can continue to serve as a key pillar in overcoming challenges and working toward a brighter future. Advancing along this path requires synergy among students, faculty members and staff, as well as making full use of the valuable capacities of all members of the university community.
Dear students,
Your university years are a valuable opportunity to learn, gain experience, ask questions and build your future. I hope that, alongside acquiring knowledge and skills, you will take responsible and socially conscious steps toward academic and personal excellence. I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to our esteemed faculty members, who keep the light of knowledge and research alive through their expertise, experience and sustained efforts, and to our dedicated staff, whose commitment and support help create the conditions for achieving the university’s goals. In the academic year ahead, drawing on the valuable capabilities of our university community, we will work diligently to enhance the quality of education, advance impactful research, strengthen the university’s engagement with society, and play a more effective role in the country’s development.
I extend my warmest congratulations on the beginning of the new academic year to all students, faculty members and staff, and hope that the year ahead will bring the university community success, good health, peace and valuable achievements.
