The Faculty of Textile Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) participated in the 32nd edition of IRANTEX 2026, showcasing selected scientific and technological achievements and providing an opportunity to strengthen the University’s engagement with stakeholders in Iran’s textile and apparel industries.
Held at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground, the exhibition provided a platform for the Faculty to present some of its academic, research, and technological capabilities to industry representatives. Throughout the event, the Faculty’s booth welcomed university officials, faculty members, students, industry professionals, and visitors interested in the textile and apparel sectors. The presence of faculty members and students, along with discussions with visitors, offered an opportunity to highlight the Faculty’s areas of expertise and explore potential avenues for university–industry collaboration.
As in previous years, the Faculty also organized daily group visits for students accompanied by faculty members. These visits enabled students to gain closer insight into current technologies and developments in the textile industry, while helping strengthen the connection between academic education and the industry’s practical needs.
The Faculty presented a range of its scientific, research, and technological achievements in textile and apparel engineering, including nanofiber-based products, composite structures, smart and medical textiles, and spinning oil, some of which have already been commercialized while others are ready for commercialization. In addition, several technology-based companies housed at the Textile Innovation Center showcased their products, technologies, and achievements.
A student organizing team also contributed to planning, preparing, and managing the Faculty’s booth, supporting the smooth coordination of activities and engagement with visitors. The joint participation of the Faculty and technology-based companies at IRANTEX 2026 provided an opportunity to highlight their innovative capabilities and strengthen ties among the University, technology-based companies, and related industries.
