As the current chair of the department of Textile Engineering on behalf of myself and all the esteemed faculty members of our department and staff, I welcome you to our website.Textile engineering department is one of 5 earliest departments of Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic). More than 2471 graduate students, 1162 undergraduate students, and 149 doctoral students have been trained in this department. This way, it has played a significant role in training a community of experts to promote the textile industry in the country. Doctoral students usually work in universities, research centers, or get involved in industrial fields and others get to work or research in foreign universities.

It is my pleasure to work with eminent faculty members of the department who are well-known professors in the textile industry, in various fields of education, research and industry. Valuable activities and experiences of our department are classified into 4 branches: “textile technology and technical textiles”, “textile chemistry and fiber science”, “garments and textile management” and “nano-technology”. Material and Advanced Technology in Textile Research Center which is affiliated with our department has an important role in continuing the cooperation with the industry by attracting industrial projects and cooperating with the executive bodies. This department has the highest statistics of research achievements among other textile engineering departments in the country.
Me and my colleagues believe that one of our most important tasks is to train and develop future generations, so we are all here to support your passion for education.
