The Maritime Engineering Innovation Center of Amirkabir University of Technology was inaugurated in February 2016 with the presence of the center's sponsors as well as senior managers of the marine industry. The center has an area of ​​800 square meters, with 10 office spaces for the research core in the pre-development stage and three office spaces for the growing teams. The center also has a shared workspace with an area of ​​300 square meters. This center has been established to support active and innovative research centers in various fields of marine industry, including different types of pleasure boats, advanced marine equipment, marine engines, marine renewable energy, fishing industry, manufacturing technologies and production of light and heavy vessels, maritime transportation and port equipment as well as offshore oil and gas industries.
