Zeinab Abdorezaie graduate of chemical engineering of Amirkabir University of Technology and executer of “Treating raw edible oil through a combined ultrafiltration/nanofiltration procedure” project said, “The combined procedure used in this project can be a suitable substitute for two common phases of gum extraction and bleaching in treating edible oils and retrieving its solvent, which has many advantages and can resolve drawbacks of common industrial methods.”
Pointing out the procedure of this very project he said “we managed to almost completely separate phospholipids from raw oil (over 99.90%) and over 91% of raw oil color was reduced by using polymeric membranes without applying chemicals and bleaching earth.”
It is worth saying that Dr. Ahmad Reza Raiesi, a faculty member of Department of Chemistral Engineering of Amirkabir University of Technology, was the supervisor of this project.
