Pure Mathematics field:
 
The postgraduate course of the Department of Pure Mathematics was founded in 1992 with the establishment of the master's degree and in 1996 with the establishment of the doctoral course.
At present, the Department of Pure mathematics admits about 35 graduate students in MSc program and about 15 doctoral students annually.
The educational and research activities of the Pure mathematics group are in the following fields:
Commutative algebra, Non-commutative algebra, Graph theory, Combinatorial analysis, Finite groups, Manifold geometry, Algebraic topology, Nonlinear analysis, Mathematical logic, Functional analysis, Harmonic analysis,
