Creating Bioactive Coverage on Magnesium Alloy

 | Post date: 2022/03/8 |
AUT researchers are about to control the corrosion of magnesium-based alloys and develop in vivo biodegradable implantables by creating bioactive coverages on magnesium alloys.
Nasrin Sadat Azarian a graduate of AUT said: “The improvement condition of osteogenic texture would be accelerated by applying bioactive components on the surface of implantables and alongside biodegradable implantables in body, the new osteogenic texture would grow and would be replaced.” An article has been published from this project. This article is titles “the processing mechanism of plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) and roles of variables in chemical combination of coverings” is published in “Alloys and Magnesium Journal”.

This project’s advisor is Dr. Seyed Mohammad Moosavi, a faculty member of Amirkabir University of Technology.
