In a momentous achievement, Amirkabir University of Technology has claimed the coveted first place among technical and engineering universities in the esteemed Shanghai ranking.

In a significant development, Dr. Alireza Rahaie has been appointed as the new Head of Amir Kabir University of Technology, as confirmed by the Ministry of Science in their official statement.

The Kish International Campus of Amirkabir University of Technology is now accepting student applications for the first semester of the 2014-2015 academic year.

Amirkabir University of Technology's public relations report highlights the recognition bestowed upon Dr. Alireza Rahaie, a faculty member of the Civil Engineering and Environment Department, as the esteemed educational leader of the country.

The recently released ISC 2022 subject rankings include 44 universities from the Islamic Republic of Iran, each recognized for their performance in various subject areas.

AUT’s public relations: Dr Mehdi Majidpour, with the announcement of the news, stated that PhD courses for “Technology Management” in this department will start in fall, and students will be enrolled in this major by the September of the upcoming year.

Amirkabir University’s public relations reported that a cooperation contract between Amirkabir University and Sarv Oil and Gas Industries has been made to prepare, start, and utilize ‘Sarvino Innovation and Technology Center’, located in AUT’s department of chemistry.

In the QS Subject rankings of 2023, based on the general rank in Technology and Engineering, Amirkabir University of Technology achieved the 366th rank.

Students of all majors and grades can send their works to the festival's secretariat in unlimited volumes and in six main categories including "technical and engineering", "science", "humanities", "agriculture and natural resources", "medical and veterinary sciences", "art and architecture" in the two "special" and "international" categories.

The admission of online or in-person Master’s degree applicants into the International Kish campus of the Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) for the spring semester has started in the fields of Business Management (MBA), Health and Environment (HSE), Information Technology Engineering (IT), and Construction Management (CEM).

“AUT Journal of Mathematics and Computing”, under the supervision of AUT’s department of Mathematics and Computer Science, has received enough points to be indexed by Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC). This journal had just recently received a B rating from the Commission of Scientific Publications of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.

In the QS Asian ranking in 2023, there are 12 universities from Iran. The Sharif University of Technology, Tehran University, and the Amirkabir University of Technology have a ranking of 84, 92, and 113, respectively. They were the top three Iranian universities in the ranking.

The list of highly cited researchers of 2022 has been published by Clarivate Analytics company, and Dr. Mehdi Dehghan and Dr. Mustafa Abbaszadeh from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at AUT have been chosen in the mathematics.

The 12th international conference of acoustics and vibrations was held at AUT on December 14 and 15th. 109 articles about acoustics and vibrations were presented.

The 6th Young Scientists Festival will be held by Jamili Foundation to support the young generation of the world in five fields of basic science (Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Computer science, Biological Science and Geology) and with two unique approaches of coronavirus “and artificial intelligence.”

ISNET/ISA/AUT online course on Applied Orbital Mechanics with STK Software will be held from 5 to 8th of September, 2022. This course is free and in English.

An international welding engineering program in conjunction with DVS institution in Germany will be held in AUT on 4th of October, 2022. Students will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.

“The plans of the university to reduce the power consumption,” said Dr. Hatami “and optimal power consumption made the Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) have the best report in managing its power consumption. 10 MW of power consumption has been reduced from the higher education institutions."  

With the consistent efforts of the members of the department of Mathematics and Computer Science and with the support of authorities, “AUT Journal of Mathematics and Computing” successfully received a “B” rating among scientific and research journals.

The latest rankings for the top universities of the world have been published for the year 2023 by QS World University Rankings in which Amirkabir University of Technology took the second spot amongst the top universities in Iran.

The silver medal in female Karate competitions of Iran, zone one, universities was achieved by an AUT student.

Abolfazl Kazemian Aski student of the Biomedical Engineering department of AUT has succeeded in reaching the second spot at the Online Asian Disabled Chess Championship.

The researchers at Amirkabir University of Technology have successfully designed small cell phone’s antennas that are multi banded and malleable and capable of covering most of the frequency bands of fourth generation wireless telecommunication.

The direct admission (without entrance exam) of Master’s degree applicants into the International Kish campus of the Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) for the fall semester, September of 2022, has started in the fields of Business Management (MBA), Marketing & Finance, Safety Engineering, Health and Environment (HSE), Information Technology Engineering (IT), Electronic Commerce, and Civil and Construction Management Engineering. This course is held at AUT. The course syllabus is compiled in four main modules and one introductory module.

Mohammadreza Safdarian a graduate from Amirkabir University and is a member of the Iran ice climbing national team and has won the world gold medal in the world championship in Switzerland.

According to the university's announcement based on switching to virtual education, students, please do not apply for a dormitory at all.

Technology and innovation complex no. 4 of AUT will be put into operation in ten floors with a square footage of about 8500 square meters by the end of next year. There will be 48 knowledge-based companies and technology units located in this complex.

Currently, there are 100 international students in AUT dorms, and there is going to be a new dorm specially for international students’ Accommodation in this university. AUT hosts many international students from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Senegal, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria every year.  

A Winter camp of skill and employment in AUT is a primary step in the path of turning into a professional from the "soft skill" point of view. During this event, a series of workshops focused on "self-improvement" and "soft skills development" will be held from the 27th of January until the 25th of February.

According to the public relations of AUT Idea Bazaar Technology Exchange Center, the fourth event of health, cosmetics, detergent, and cellulose products will be held in February 2022.

Takapoo Business School, with the participation of the University of Toronto, Canada, and the Physical Asset Management Award, as well as with the support of Pemco Company and Ariana Industrial Research Group, is holding the first specialized training course for consultants in the field of physical asset management in Iran for 10 days.

The Iranian Branch of the Association of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) granted the 2021 Research Veteran Award to Dr. Hossein Hosseinian, a faculty member of the department of Electrical Engineering, AUT.

Department of Industrial Engineering of AUT signed an MOU with five companies to hold internship courses.  Dr. Seyed Ehsan Mirsalehi, in the coordination meeting of the company managers and AUT Co-op officials said: Co-op is an internship course for undergraduate students in which students work in industry as part of their education.

The Iranian Society of Rheology (ISR) is pleased to announce the 2nd International Conference on Rheology (ICOR 2021) which will be held in December 14 and 15, 2021 at the Amirkabir University of Technology.

This conference will be held by the Innovation of Technology Club of UNESCO and the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO around three major topics: Blockchain, Science and Development - The Applications of Blockchain in Technology and Industry – and Blockchain and the Economy of Financial and International Markets. After repeated follow-ups, the patent was accepted to be published by USPTO on May 24th, 2018, with the serial 1-A2018-0140738US.”
