A portable artificial respiratory apparatus was designed and manufactured by Dr. Kourosh Shahriar, a faculty member of mining engineering in Amirkabir University of Technology, to be used while working in coal mines.    

Dr. Hamidreza Ramezi's book, Applied Geoelectric Methods, was selected as the top book published at Amirkabir University of Technology in Research and Technology Week.
