CE-Hydraulic lab

Hydraulic Laboratory of the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering in Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) Overview The Hydraulic Laboratory of the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering in Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) has been constructed in an area of 32×12 Square meters with a height of 8.5 m. The water rotation system in this lab is in the form of an underground Channel that acts as a water reservoir and flows through pumps with different capacities in flumes and models. Underground Channels have been constructed throughout the laboratory and thus allow water to be drained from all locations. The width of the Channels is one meter and their depths up to 1.8 meters and in total, about 80 cubic meters of water can be stored inside these Channels. The bottom of the Channels is sloping to an overflow and wells to drain in emergencies or to be washed in emergencies. Professors in response to the need for small and large civil industrial projects are invited to collaborate on various hydraulic and fluid mechanics experiments in various laboratory areas and workshop experiments, demonstrating the activity of this laboratory.
