Lower Mining Exploration Costs

Preventing "Asphaltene" Residue in Oil Wells
Researchers of the Petroleum Engineering Department of the Amirkabir University of Technology used the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) coding and came up with a software that predicts asphaltene buildup in oil wells. “Using this software, we are able to improve the exploitation and transportation of crude oil for the first time,” said Mohammad Masah, a Ph.D. graduate of AUT.
