AUT, The Most Active Academic Partner of the Iran Patent Office
In line with the specific policy of protecting inventors' intellectual property rights throughout the country, Iran Patent Office in collaboration with Amirkabir University of Technology, launched a new course in the empowerment of its partner offices, calling AUT as its most active academic partner.

The 4th International Day of University Sport was Celebrated in AUT
The 4th International Day of University Sport was celebrated on September 18 at AmirKabir University of Technology.
In this celebration the Director of the Student Affairs Department said that there are currently eight universities with healthcare monitoring and health centers, and it is hoped that by next year all universities will be equipped with such centers.

The First Energy Innovation Center Will be Launched at AUT
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Amirkabir University of Technology and Apadana Company to establish and operate an Energy Innovation Center at Amirkabir University of Technology.
The MOU is set to launch the Amirkabir University of Technology’s Innovation Center as the country's first oil and energy innovation center and the largest specialized innovation center of AUT in partnership with the private sector.

The Research and Development Section of Saroj Bushehr Company at AUT
The research and development section of Bushehr Saroj Company (Kangan Cement Co.) is being set up at Amirkabir University of Technology. A reverse engineering contract for the research, design and construction of the Hydraulic Jack Mill Roller was signed between Saroj Bushehr International Company and Amirkabir University of Technology.

The Magnificent and Lively Atmosphere of the "First National Student Festival" at AUT
AUT would like to introduce more engineering disciplines because there is a perception in society that medical disciplines are money-making, but we show the exact opposite.
"Currently we do not have a medical degree at Amirkabir University of Technology, but there is a biomedical engineering field, which will do important work in the near future" said the head of the Amirkabir Mathematics and Computer Science Department.

AUT Establishes a Business School
Following an agreement between Tehran Chamber of Commerce and AUT, a business school will soon be opened at the university.
The business school includes two sections: one is educational (colleges) and another is for research (Development and Policy Research Center). The second section’s main task is training specialized staff in the relevant fields and holding postgraduate educationally related courses.

Effective Relationship of the University with the Municipality
The Mayor of District 3 of Tehran visited AUT and was introduced to the university's scientific, educational and research capacities and activities. He also visited various departments of Amirkabir University of Technology, including the Technology Tower and the Engineering Library of the University.
Dr. Mohammad Karimi, head of the AUT's Library of Engineering, during the visit said: "Universities should help to transfer environmental issues to citizens."
The necessity of university's participation in transferring environmental issues to citizens was also discussed in this visit.

Summit on bilateral cooperation between Amirkabir university of technology and the Iranian university of medical sciences
The summit held was between the deputies of research and technology of both universities.
According to the public relations office of Amirkabir university of technology the summit was held on the 15th of July with participants such as Dr. Malakooti deputy general for research and technology of the university, Dr. Hosseini deputy general of research and technology for AUT, directors of the office of research and technology of the university, Dr. Nekouian director of technology for the university and a select number of managers of AUT’s startups in the Iranian university of medical sciences’ central library hall.

AUT’s polymers and paints department active in the automotive industry
The principle for the polymer and paint engineering campus at AUT said: considering the current situation the country is in we in our campus have focused on the automotive industry so as to play our role in domestication of technologies.
As reported by AUT’s public relation office Dr. Naser Mohammadi has said: AUT’s activities in polymers and paint dates back 45 years where back in 1975 research into this field had started which caused the first department of polymer engineering and paint in the country to be founded here in AUT. He added this campus partakes in educational, scientific and research activities in fields like rubber based industries, tissues, paint, plastics, resins and artificial covers.

Dr. Sara Saeedi Madani, Professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of Amirkabir University of Technology, won International Women in Mathematics Day’s award in the divisions of International Joint Research and Scientific Activities Dr. Saeedi Madani is currently an Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at Amirkabir University of Technology, obtaining her undergraduate degree from Alzahra University, master's degree and PHD under the guidance of Prof.

AUT to Open an Innovation Center for Mining and Mineral Industry
The head of Department of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering of Amirkabir University of Technology announced the opening of an innovation center for mining and mineral industries at the university in the near future, saying the center would be set up in an area of more than 160 square meters with the private sector participation. At the center research teams would be brainstorming and producing their own ideas and commercializing them.

A System to Increase Road Safety with Image Processing
Researchers at the department of Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering of Amirkabir University of Technology have provided a system for evaluating the drainage quality of asphalt, based on the technology of image processing, which they said could be effective in improving road safety. Behrooz Mataei, Dr. Fereydon Moghaddasnejad and Hamzeh Zakeri the researchers of this project have been able to patent this idea under the name of "Pavement Drainage Evaluation System" in the US patent office.
