A Project Seeking to Produce Intelligent Electronic Textile
AUT researchers have initiated a project to develop intelligent electrical textile aiming to build flexible super-capacitors. Marjan Barekzehi- an AUT graduate and the project manager- stated, "a flexible fabric-based super-capacitor was produced by coating graphene and polypyrrole optimally using a gel electrolyte with a 1.1cm-2 surface size in this project.

Manufacturing Hydrogels for Medical Industry & Industrial Wastewater Treatment
Sara Taraashi, an Amirkabir University of Technology PhD student and manager of this research project which was implemented in the form of a doctoral dissertation under the guidance of Dr. Hossein Nazkadast from the department of Polymer Engineering referring to the use of hydrogel synthesis with double network structure as an innovative method in this project said: in preparing the desired hydrogels, carrageenans were used as a natural temperature-sensitive polymer to form a physical network and acrylic polymers were used to form a chemical network.

Possibility of Increasing Biological Lifespan of Heart Valves
In order to treat heart disease and study chemically-stabilized pericardial tissues to build biological stent valves, researchers at AUT have made it possible to increase the lifespan of biological heart valves. Aysaa Rasooli, an Amirkabir University of Technology graduate and the project manager, said: "in this study, histological analysis was performed to examine the collagen structure of various tissues."
