To promote the development of coastal and aerospace technologies, a cooperation agreement has been signed between Amirkabir University of Technology and the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.
According to the public relations office of Amirkabir University, the agreement aims to lay the groundwork for creating a knowledge-based industry ecosystem with the participation and academic support of the university.
The strategic collaboration focuses on identifying and addressing major industry challenges through research activities and providing related services, prioritizing key issues and driving forces in various transport sectors.
The areas of cooperation agreed upon between Amirkabir University and the Ministry of Industry include:
* Development of commercial aircraft technologies and their systems
* Development of marine vessel technologies and coastal and offshore structures
* Development of railway system technologies
* Development of technologies in artificial intelligence and relevant smart solutions
* Development of technologies in the mining and maritime industries
It has been decided that the executive details of each of these topics will be prepared and implemented in separate contracts upon agreement by both parties. The duration of this memorandum is set for 3 years from the date of signing, but this period can be extended with the consent of both sides. The agreement was signed by Dr. Abbas Ali Abadi, the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, and Dr. Alireza Rahai, the chancellor of Amirkabir University of Technology.
