The head of the Amirkabir Industrial University Park stated that the secretariat of the national entrepreneurship project has been established at this university, adding that the project was initiated a year ago and, with the support of the Ministry of Science, about 7,000 people are participating in the educational courses of this national initiative.
According to the public relations of Amirkabir Industrial University, Dr. Seyyed Farhang Fasihi mentioned during the "National Promotion of Entrepreneurship Project" event series that this university hosts specialized technological events weekly. He noted that student entrepreneurship is one of the topics that has received attention in the country for years, as we have specialized human capacities and they are interested in working in business and entrepreneurship in areas needed by the country.
He identified transportation, environment, waste, and air pollution as priority areas for the country, stating that alongside business development, multi-faceted entrepreneurship skills are needed, and it is essential to develop these skills in students, making them familiar with issues such as team building, marketing, legal matters, sales, and more. The Ministry of Science has also taken the initiative and introduced a national entrepreneurship project; Amirkabir Industrial University is responsible for the secretariat of this project.
Dr. Fasihi highlighted that training and talent assessments occur through this system, noting that this journey, which began a year ago, has allowed students to register and participate in talent assessment tests, leading to 12 educational courses being held within this framework for three groups of students.
The head of the technology park at Amirkabir Industrial University reminded that 800 people participated in these training courses. Topics covered in these training sessions include idea validation, business evaluation, team building skills, business ethics, and business development principles.
Referring to the business development process, he stated that based on statistics, for every four to five businesses that develop, one may grow while the rest fail due to a lack of attention to the surrounding issues of businesses.
Dr. Fasihi noted that the courses of this project are held online and added that entrepreneurs participated in these courses and shared their experiences. Part of our responsibility in the entrepreneurship project is to keep students informed about the experiences of entrepreneurs.
He mentioned that currently about 7,000 people are involved in the project, which presents a great opportunity for students since many entrepreneurship courses are being held. However, it is noteworthy that the Ministry of Science has allocated subsidies for students to participate in these courses at a reasonable cost.
He did not consider entrepreneurship services to be low-cost services and stated that the Ministry of Science's attention in this area has created a broader space for promoting entrepreneurship, encouraging individuals who have talent in this field not to seek employment with companies.
Emphasizing that every successful business starts from a core problem, he said that this national program aims to help students identify their main issue through events. These problems have been uploaded to the Ministry of Science's database, and familiarity with these issues can lay the groundwork for the formation of many successful businesses.
Fasihi highlighted the importance of networking for the success of businesses, emphasizing the well-known saying that either we network or nothing gets done.

He added that identifying needs is a concept that can help in successful idea generation. Therefore, we hope that the "BAVAR 2" program, which has been established with the efforts of the Ministry of Science's technology department and the collaboration of the Technology Park of AmirKabir Industrial University, continues.
Dr.Rahai emphasized that our discussion is to think in a way that allows us to recognize needs in the entrepreneurial path and shape idea generation based on these needs so that the development of ideas ultimately leads to successful outcomes, including knowledge-based production, products, and wealth.
He further clarified that converting ideas into wealth in universities can be successful, provided that idea generation is based on needs assessment. As long as needs are not identified, it is impossible to turn that idea into a successful product and ultimately wealth.
Fortunately, the high-level officials of the system all emphasize the creation and formation of a knowledge-based industry and support all necessary means and tools to realize a knowledge-based economy, in order to attract talented, innovative, and creative youth to identify and address the country's needs.
Dr.Rahai emphasized that the current National Entrepreneurship Promotion Project will help ensure that alongside educating students in scientific topics, the development of entrepreneurship is also pursued.
