Introduction: Measuring the absorption coefficient and the acoustic transmitting reduction parameter based on international standards and using “impedance tubes”. This laboratory using the latest model of Impedance Tub and knowledgeable and experienced experts, provides a suitable platform for research and industrial testing and consulting services in various acoustic fields.
The impedance tube machine is designed and manufactured in accordance with the ISO 10534-2 and ASTM E 1050 standards and is used to measure the absorption coefficient of sound and sound loss of various materials. One of the most prominent features of this device is its frequency range, covering the frequency range from 63 to 6300 Hz. The diameter of the pipes is 100 and 30 mm. Four 1/4" microphones with ICP preamplifier perform the necessary measurements. The Data Integrated Instrument has a National Instrument card with 4 input ICP channels and 2 output channels. VA-Lab IMP software is used which is installed on LabVIEW platform.
