The robot made by an AUT student won the second place in the International Conference on Robotics and Mechatronics, ICROM 2021. Farid Rashidi, an undergraduate student at the department of Mechanical Engineering, has designed and made this robot as his undergraduate project, under the guidance of Dr. Ghaffarirad and Dr. Zareinejad in the Robotics Laboratory of the New Technologies Research Institute of Amirkabir University of Technology. This robot is able to change the geometry of its body to the best position to cross a path or obstacle because of its configuration system.
