Introduction:
The Biological Systems Control Laboratory was established in 2002 at Biomedical engineering department of Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) to provide research services in the field of biological control under the supervision of Dr. Ali Fallah and in collaboration with his Ph.D. student, Ali Maliki. Dr. Ali Fallah (Professor of Bioelectric Department, Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, Amirkabir University of Technology) is the Executive Director of the Laboratory. Dr. Ali Maleki (Academic Member of Semnan University) and Dr. Saeed Rashidi (Academic Member of Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch of Tehran) collaborate with the laboratory. The laboratory provides research services to faculty, researchers and students of various universities, researchers and artisans in special conditions.

Areas of research in this laboratory include:

  • Monitor and predict the status of some organs by using recorded information and signals
  • Robot control by human hand movement
  • Design and manufacturing of an experimental system for the quantitative and qualitative study of the nervous-muscular system of the human hand
  • Simulation and implementation of the model of movement of some organs of the body by using computer control
  • Improving the diagnosis and resolution of lesions in soft tissues using electrography techniques
