نامه روسای ۱۵ دانشگاه برتر ایران به روسای ۱۵۰ دانشگاه جهان در خصوص تجاوز رژیم صهیونیستی و امریکا به ایران

These days, the world witnesses an unprovoked, illegal and unjust attack on the Iranian nation. The US and Israeli aggressors have indiscriminately targeted innocent people as well as many schools, medical centers, research labs, sport facilities, civil infrastructures, and even cultural heritage sites across our country. The atrocities committed by the attackers reminds us of one of the Crusades, which one would have expected the global community to have been moved beyond centuries ago. In just one incident on the first day of the imposed war, an attack on an elementary school in Minab has resulted in the brutal killing of ۱۶۷ innocent school children.
The Iranian nation and its ancient heritage have been the cradle of civilization, and pillar of development and stability in this part of the world for thousands of years. This has contributed immensely to the world history, culture and human achievement.
The Iranian civilization has consistently demonstrated its commitment to nurturing outstanding human resources to serve humanity and drive scientific and technological progress for the betterment and dignity of human life. This has been evident in its significant contributions to international scientific growth over the past three decades.
The war imposed by US and Israel on the Iranian nation is aimed at systematic ruin of one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It is aimed at destroying the fabric of a rich heritage which belongs to all humanity. Any attempt to weaken or undermine this vibrant civilization, would be a betrayal to humanity and its future.
This letter is sent from Iranian university presidents to their free-spirited counterparts and esteemed scholars around the world, as a call for action to fulfill their humanitarian duties and appeal to their respective people and governments to stand against such unbridled massacre and destruction of civilization under unwarranted pretexts.
We call on our colleagues and all scholars and celebrities of free conscience to collectively strive to restore ethics, dialogue, peaceful coexistence and justice against expansionist and subversive policies of the US and Israeli administrations
The experience of recent years has shown that international institutions have lost even their minimal effectiveness. While Iran’s military is bravely defending our country and its people against this brutal aggression with all their means, and our nation is bearing the atrocities of the aggressors with dignity and pride, we see it our responsibility to raise awareness and appeal to the good conscience of the elites and academics around the world to take effective action against the brutality of these war-mongering governments. If these unethical behaviors are not countered globally, Iran will not be the last victim.
We hope that our academic colleagues around the world will be the voice of human culture and civilization and will join forces to prevent the loss of human life and dignity and preserve this cultural heritage and civilization.

در متن این نامه تاکید شده است: جهان این روزها شاهد حمله بی‌دلیل، غیر قانونی و ستمگرانه به ملت ایران است. متجاوزان آمریکایی و اسرائیلی، مردم بی‌گناه، مدارس، مراکز درمانی، آزمایشگاه‌های تحقیقاتی، تأسیسات ورزشی، زیرساخت‌های غیر نظامی و حتی آثار باستانی کشورمان را بی‌رحمانه هدف قرار داده‌اند. وحشتی که در این حملات به‌چشم می‌خورد، یادآور جنگ‌های صلیبی است؛ جنگ‌هایی که انتظار می‌رفت جامعه جهانی قرن‌ها پیش از آن‌ها عبور کرده باشد. تنها در نخستین روز این جنگ تحمیلی، حمله وحشیانه به یک مدرسه ابتدایی در میناب، به شهادت ۱۶۷ کودک بی‌گناه منجر شد.ملت ایران و میراث کهن آن، گهواره تمدن و ستون توسعه و ثبات در این منطقه از جهان برای هزاران سال بوده است. این امر به غنای تاریخ، فرهنگ و دستاوردهای بشری کمک شایانی کرده است.
تمدن ایران همواره تعهد خود را به پرورش منابع انسانی برجسته برای خدمت به بشریت و پیشبرد پیشرفت‌های علمی و فناوری برای بهبود و ارتقای کرامت انسانی نشان داده است. این امر در مشارکت‌های چشمگیر آن در رشد علمی بین‌المللی در سه دهه گذشته مشهود است.جنگی که آمریکا و اسرائیل بر ملت ایران تحمیل کرده‌اند، با هدف نابودی سیستماتیک یکی از قدیمی‌ترین تمدن‌های جهان است. هدف، تخریب بافتی غنی است که متعلق به همه بشریت است. هر تلاشی برای تضعیف یا نابودی این تمدن پرجنب‌وجوش، خیانتی به بشریت و آینده آن خواهد بود.
این نامه از سوی رؤسای دانشگاه‌های ایران به همتایان آزاداندیش و دانشمندان ارجمند خود در سراسر جهان ارسال می‌شود تا آن‌ها را به انجام وظایف بشردوستانه خود فرا خواند و از آن‌ها بخواهد تا به مردم و دولت‌های خود فشار بیاورند تا در برابر این کشتار و تخریب بی‌مهار تمدن با بهانه‌های ناموجه، ایستادگی کنند.
ما از همکاران و همه دانشمندان و افراد مشهور با وجدان بیدار می‌خواهیم که به طور جمعی برای بازگرداندن اخلاق، گفت‌وگو، همزیستی مسالمت‌آمیز و عدالت در برابر سیاست‌های توسعه‌طلبانه و مخرب دولت‌های آمریکا و اسرائیل تلاش کنند.
تجربه سال‌های اخیر نشان داده است که نهادهای بین‌المللی حتی حداقل اثربخشی خود را از دست داده‌اند. در حالی که ارتش ایران با همه توان از کشور و مردم خود در برابر این تجاوز بی‌رحمانه دفاع می‌کند و ملت ما با کرامت و افتخار در برابر جنایات متجاوزان مقاومت می‌کند، وظیفه خود می‌دانیم که آگاهی‌رسانی کنیم و از وجدان بیدار نخبگان و دانشگاهیان سراسر جهان بخواهیم تا اقدامات مؤثری علیه بربریت این دولت‌های جنگ‌طلب انجام دهند. اگر با این رفتارهای غیر اخلاقی در سطح جهانی مقابله نشود، ایران، آخرین قربانی نخواهد بود.
امیدواریم همکاران دانشگاهی ما در سراسر جهان صدای فرهنگ و تمدن بشری باشند و برای حفظ حیات و کرامت انسانی و این میراث فرهنگی و تمدنی متحد شوند.
